Estimates

Of course we provide free estimates. There is no need to call in advance...just drop by and one of our qualified estimators will be happy to provide you with a written estimate. And we stand by our estimates. Only in very rare cases where there may be significant hidden damage that we cannot see until we have taken the car apart, there could be any subsequent increases in our estimates. In these cases, we will clearly state the fact on the estimate and explain it to you.

You should allow us about fifteen minutes for the estimating process to complete its course, after which you can book your appointment with us, normally within a few business days, or you can take the estimate home with you.

We take pride in providing the best estimates in the industry in terms of value for the dollar, clarity, and presentation to you.

Why is our estimate different?

Aside from being accurate and easy to understand, our estimates are sometimes different than our competitors in terms of content and final price. At False Creek Collision Plus, we are committed to providing the best repair possible at a competitive price. We do not produce substandard quality, and we do not overcharge anyone. Regretfully, some of our less reputable competitors do not share our commitment to quality, and choose to compete on price alone. These companies produce work that may look acceptable upon delivery, but you can bet that the body work or paint will peel, fade, shrink, or fall apart sooner than you might expect.

In some other cases, two fair and reputable collision repair facilities will provide noticeably different prices. This is because collision repair is sometimes complex, and two different estimators may make different judgements about the extent of the work that is required to produce an excellent result. In actual fact, you will notice that labour rates do not differ much from one company to another, and parts and material prices are also consistent. This leaves the points of quality to be the differentiator, so you need to be aware of some of the points of quality listed below, so that you can make the most informed decision possible regarding the extent of the work that you want done.

Look for these ingredients of a quality collision repair

  • Is the repair facility a member of the Better Business Bureau?
  • Are all parts and pieces of trim removed prior to painting?
  • If your bumper is damaged, is it removed prior to painting?
  • Are the insides of panels painted (referred to as 'inners')?
  • Is a computer based color match program being used?
  • Is a premium quality, base/clear coat painting process provided?
  • Are adjacent panels blended?
  • Is the work covered by a lifetime warrantee?

Ask these questions and then compare. Remember: you can ask the estimator anything you wish, or make suggestions about removing or adding any component of the estimate if you feel it may be warranted.
