Had an Accident?

In the unfortunate event that your car has been damaged, you need to first notify the police and your insurance company.

In minor fender benders, the police do not get involved, but check with them just in case.  In any event, make sure you also get the personal details of any other party involved, as well as their insurance documentation.  If your car was involved in a hit and run or was broken into, search for any potential witnesses who may be able to identify the culprit, and call your insurance company immediately.

If you are insured with ICBC, call their hotline at 604-520-8222 and follow their instructions. In most cases it is not necessary to go to a claim centre since we are on ICBC's highest accreditation level. You simply bring your vehicle and your claim number along with your registration papers to False Creek Collision Plus.

Private Insurance Companies

If you are insured with any other insurer, you still have the right to choose which collision repair company will repair your vehicle.  Of course, we hope you choose False Creek Collision Plus.  Every day of the week, we provide the same great service to clients of a wide selection of private insurance companies as we provide to ICBC clients and to individuals who choose to pay for the repairs themselves.

Remember:  Your vehicle belongs to you, and you will be the one living with your car after it is repaired.  That means that you have the right to turn down your insurer's recommended repair facility in favour of False Creek Collision Plus.  We are aware that insurance companies sometimes attempt to direct your business to other companies for reasons that may not be in your best interests.

Should I Make Another Claim?

We are often asked whether it is worthwhile for a customer to make an insurance claim, versus paying for the repair themselves.  Other times, the first question that our competitors ask is whether your insurance company is paying for the repair.  There is no need to be overly concerned about these things.  If you ask the question, your insurance company representative will inform you whether another claim will result in increased premiums, and you will not be penalized in any way for asking the question.  Keep in mind that your deducitble is likely to be $300.00, and any repair that costs more-and most of them do- may well prove to be covered without your premiums increasing.

Leased Vehicles

When you lease a vehicle, you make monthly payments for the right to enjoy all of the benefits of ownership of that vehicle.  These benefits include the right to have your vehicle fixed properly at the collision repair company of your choice.  Normally you do not need to contact your leasing company in the event of an accident.  Simply contact us by phone, fax, email, or just drop by with your vehicle and we will provide an estimate right away.  We hope you choose False Creek Collision Plus.
